Linn Obrestad is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose work moves between experimental film, visual art, and poetic documentary. With a background spanning fine art, biotechnology, anthropology, and cultural studies, Obrestad brings a research-driven approach to her artistic investigations. Her works have been shown internationally in festivals, galleries, and cross-disciplinary platforms, where art and science meet in dialogue.

Education: BFA, College of Fine Arts, Sydney, Australia, MA in Art and Design, University of South-Eastern Norway, MA in Culture Studies, University of South-Eastern Norway, BSc in Biotechnology, and BA in Social Anthropology, University of Oslo

I make documentaries, art, and everything in between. I love complexity and resist the obvious, the simple, and the inobscure. Some days I prefer fragments; other days I favour wholeness. I aim for comprehension, but I’ll settle for interpretation.
